AME Team

Sales

Our sales team is a group of professionals trained to match patients with the products that will best suit their needs. They receive ongoing training from suppliers on the latest durable medical equipment products and power mobility offerings. They also work closely with our billing department to ensure accurate insurance fillings of equipment claims. They will work with your doctor to ensure you have the equipment you need at the lowest out-of-pocket cost possible.

Mike Hutton

Mike Hutton has lived in the Wilmington area, since 1989 and has been involved in the Durable Medical Equipment industry since 2000. He has been involved with Atlantic Medical Equipment, since the doors opened. As our customer service rep, Mike functions as the go between for the patient and physician. As he is privy to how your insurance will work for you, he knows what items can be billed and what criteria must be met to in order to bill those items. This knowledge is extremely helpful, for those patients who are considering power mobility as a solution to resolve their challenges with standing and/or walking. So, if you require any type of durable medical equipment, or you would just like to ask Mike a question..... Please, don't hesitate to call our office.

Warehouse

President and CEO

Pete Gratale, President and CEO


Pete received his Bachelor of Science degree in radiology technology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His business story began with co-owning and managing a single outpatient radiology imaging center. In less than six years he grew the business to include over fifteen image centers and sold the franchise to a national company.



An extraordinary benefit of growth and sale of the imaging organization was the creation of Seagate Management Company. Instead of outsourcing many of the operational needs of the imaging company, Pete's vision was to create additional partnership companies. To date, Pete leads the Seagate Management team, which currently manages the "behind the scenes" functions for over 20 companies.



Director of Operations

Beth Eason, Director of Operations


Beth, who was one of the first executives hired at Seagate Management, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Beth oversees a wide array of operations activities including the following:



  • Managing cash flow for all Seagate Management companies
  • Reporting and analysis company financials
  • Serving as liason between the corporate office and operations managers for all Seagate Management companies
  • Assisting Seagate Management owner and CEO in all aspects of business including strategic planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting.


Director of Marketing

Robin DeVido, Director of Marketing


Robin received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Kentucky and her Master’s of Science degree from Florida State University. As a team member of Seagate Management for almost a decade, Robin provides the direction for the following marketing and communication functions:



  • Leading the functional activities of marketing strategy, brand management, and advertising through traditional and new media
  • Developing a long-term overall marketing plan as well as a very specific short-term marketing plans for each customer.
  • Ensuring effective use of resources via, promotions, point of sale, community relations, and other appropriate activities.
  • Overseeing demand creation, including consumer advertising, public relations, promotions, media planning, and social media.
  • Designing and execution of all promotional materials, advertising, graphics, and online content


General Counsel

Laurie Peregoy, General Counsel


Laurie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Greensboro then went on to complete her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University. She is licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina.



Serving as Seagate Management’s attorney for over five years, Laurie offers her expertise in the following areas:



  • Risk Management
  • Contract review/negotiation
  • Business Management
  • Human Resources
  • Compliance


CPA

Phil Hayes, CPA


Phil received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a licensed CPA in the State of North Carolina. Before joining Seagate Management five years ago, he gained valuable experience in a public accounting firm that handled many of the tax functions for Seagate Management. As the “in house” CPA, Phil oversees the following:



  • Researching and consulting for tax planning
  • Assisting with financial projections for business development
  • Addressing tax compliance issues to state & local as well as Federal taxing authorities
  • Serving as liason to partners/shareholders for tax matters and with public accounting firms
  • Coordinating various accounting tasks, financial presentations and Profit & Loss Statements


Office Manager/Benefits Administrator

Penny Millis, Office Manger/Benefits Administrator


Penny came to Seagate Management with 25 years of office administration experience. For the past three years Penny has provided the direction and coordination of many key areas of operations including:



  • Managing Seagate Management corporate office
  • Processing payroll for over 100 employees
  • Initiating and maintaining employee benefit administration
  • Coordinating on-site special events and meeting preparation activities
  • Serving as special operations consultant to the Wilmington Sea Dawgs professional basketball team
  • Teaming with other Seagate Management personnel in the performance of accounting functions


IT Director

Jason Rich, IT Director


For over three years, Jason has been the “go to” for all Seagate Management computer networking. He attended both Computer Specialists and New Horizons IT schools. His certifications include A+, CNA, MCP, MCSA and MCSE. Jason’s day-to-day responsibilities include:



  • Setting up and administering company/client networks
  • Overseeing/managing email and domains
  • Purchase, setup, and support servers, PC's, and peripherals


System Engineer

Jonathan Hester, System Engineer


Jonathan is a member of our IT team that focuses on programming and software development. Jonathan is well versed in all aspects of computer technology. For the past two years his time has most often spent managing the following:



  • Serving as Seagate Management's computer programming specialist
  • Assisting marketing in web design and functionality
  • Adminstering email systems
  • Serving as technical consultant for computer system purchasing and upgrades
  • Assisting IT Director with computer-relevant customer service requests


Web Developer

Blake Baxendell, Web Developer and Creative Consultant


Blake, who is one of the newest additions to the Seagate Management team, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with an emphasis in Emerging Technology from Slippery Rock University. Blake’s extensive computer knowledge and creative skills are utilized everyday in the following ways:



  • Overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of all Seagate Management websites
  • Assisting with the creative process of marketing Seagate brands
  • Providing consultation on new and upcoming trends in e-marketing
  • serving as staff photographer


Adminstrative Assistant

Amber Wilson, Adminstrative Assistant


Amber received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Amber assists the Seagate team with a wide array of administrative and office responsibilities including:



  • Serving as initial hospitality contact and greeter for all company guests in person and via phone.
  • Performing data entry and accounting tasks for all Seagate Management Companies
  • Coordinating the dissemination of marketing and human resources materials
  • Assisting in community outreach public relations for the Wilmington Sea Dawgs
